How It Started
Built for Real Homes, Not Showrooms
Most decor content is written for a room that’s been fully renovated, professionally lit, and styled with a budget most of us don’t have. RTE-MP started from the opposite question: what can you actually do with the room you already have, this weekend, without a big spend?
That question became a habit of testing small, doable changes — moving one anchor piece, mixing heights on a shelf, hanging art at eye level — and writing down exactly what worked. RTE-MP is that running collection of ideas, organized room by room, so you can find something useful for the exact space you’re standing in.
From living rooms to laundry rooms, from nurseries to balconies, we cover every corner of a home with the same rule: it has to be something you can actually do, not just admire.

I’m the person behind RTE-MP — someone who has rearranged the same shelf four times in one evening just to see whether “mix your heights” actually made a difference. It did. Nothing published here is theoretical. Every guide starts as a real change made in a real room, on a real budget.
I started this journal because most decor advice assumes a renovation budget or a professional’s eye. Most of us are just trying to make one room feel less “off” without spending a weekend and a paycheck on it. Everything here is written with that reader in mind.
